I’ve been doing web stuff for 12 years. I’ve had all sorts of job titles including web designer, webmaster, web manager, senior content producer, sharepoint analyst and information architect. Webmaster was the worst job title by far.
For 6 years I worked as Web Manager for Walsall Council in the West Midlands. We had a great team and with a lot of hard work, our website was named by SOCITM as one of the top 30 UK local government websites in 2007 and one of the top 20 UK local government websites in 2009.
In August 2009, I persuaded my wife Sarah and our baby girl Elodie to move back to my home town of Brisbane, Australia. Our little boy MJ appeared in September 2010. Since my return I’ve mostly been doing web stuff as a contractor for various departments of the Queensland Government.

Theme
This is a WordPress blog using the Magazeen theme. I love it, but it’s a complete pain in the arse. I had to tweak its socks off as there were a load of issues to fix, such as the thumbnail images not working properly and the stylesheet not being very SEO friendly.
